The annual FOX Broadcasting Company Programming Presentation and Post-Party in New York City (Monday, May 15) is the shining result of a significant effort from a number of different groups within the Fox Networks Group family. To shed some light on some of the moving parts behind the scenes, we recently spoke with Karen Nefsky, VP of Design and Creative Services for FOX Broadcasting Company.

Yesterday, 21st Century Fox announced its fiscal Q3 2017 financial results. Afterward, the company held an earnings call featuring Executive Chairman Lachlan Murdoch, CEO James Murdoch and CFO John Nallen. It was an opportunity for 21CF to discuss a wide range of topics, including 21CF’s strategic priorities, the digital MVPD revolution, 20th Century Fox Film’s strength and new advertising leadership for Fox Networks Group.

At the 20th Annual Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles, where leaders across industries gathered to discuss solutions to some of the world’s pressing challenges, Peter Rice, Chairman and CEO of Fox Networks Group, participated in a panel discussion and talked about the importance of scale for the business, data-driven advertising on Hulu and the importance of diversity.

The 2017 FOX upfront programming presentation is taking place in New York on Monday, May 15. With the big event almost a week away, we thought it would be a good time to check in with Bruce Lefkowitz, Executive Vice President of Advertising Sales for Fox Networks Group.

During its 2017 upfront presentation at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York Wednesday morning, Hulu officially launched its live TV streaming service. The company also used the event to announce the acquisition of two hit TV series and the greenlighting of Season 2 for “The Handmaid’s Tale,” as well as preview some of its exciting upcoming original shows.

Ben McKenzie, the star who plays lead character James Gordon on FOX’s “Gotham,” has been waiting a long time for the 16th episode of the show’s third season, which will air Monday, May 1, at 8 p.m. ET/PT: It will be the first time he’ll be credited as a director.

During its inspiring upfront presentation on Wednesday evening, National Geographic presented its ambitious 2017-18 slate of premium, groundbreaking content. The “Further Front,” which was hosted at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City, included the presentation of seven new unscripted series, one new scripted series, three feature documentaries and a number of returning series.

Fox Networks Group Europe & Africa recently wrapped up its huge press tour for “The Walking Dead” in Europe, which reached millions of fans. The tour to promote the second half of Season 7 of “The Walking Dead” involved a total of 16 events for more than 16,000 fans throughout London, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Madrid, Munich and Warsaw, all in the span of an active week in early March.

In keeping with tradition, FX Networks screened the Season 3 premiere of “Fargo” and hosted a bowling party last night in New York City.
