Heritage

Wolverine’s claws are one of the most popular and recognizable props in the Fox Archives Collection. Although the full length of the claws measures 10.5 inches, they embody and represent the whole of the character.

We have collected a wide variety of claws and items relating to their creation in the nine “X-Men” films in which the character has appeared, including “Logan.” Here is a look at assets relating to the Wolverine claws from our Prop, Photo and Publicity Collections.

The Fox Archives is mandated to collect, catalog, preserve and make accessible the following assets of the 20th Century Fox studios: props, set decoration, photographs, art department and publicity materials from our film and television productions, and from the 20th Century Fox studio itself. We work primarily with internal Fox groups but also from time to time with outside organizations such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry.
