In its latest campaign, STAR India’s No.1 Hindi general entertainment channel, STAR Plus, has recruited three of India’s biggest cricket stars for a series of television promos to combat stereotypes and push the agenda for the country’s half-billion women.

Star India’s revolutionary mobile entertainment product, hotstar, launched in early 2015 and has grown to boast more than 40,000 hours of content across drama, movies and sports, including cricket, football, kabaddi and local leagues. Today, the first day of a three-day global convention covering media and entertainment in India called FICCI FRAMES 2016, Star CEO Uday Shankar announced that hotstar has been downloaded 50 million times and that it will be rolled out to the rest of the world in the coming months.
