To mark Veterans Day (Saturday, Nov. 11) in the U.S., FOX Sports hosted a number of special programming events this past weekend. From Thursday through Sunday, FOX Sports invited active military members and veterans to be part of live studio audiences and took some of its shows on the road to Pier 10 on the Naval Station Norfolk in Norfolk, Virginia.

On Thursday, March 2, Cynopsis Media honored National Geographic with its inaugural Impact Award in the Network category at their third annual Social Good Awards in New York City. The Social Good Awards recognize brands, campaigns and individuals for outstanding work in areas ranging from environmental initiatives to voter registration to combating addiction.

At the Second Annual Social Good Awards Breakfast in New York City, Cynopsis Media recognized FOX Sports Supports as this year's "Social Good Shining Star," while awarding several honorable mentions to programming at National Geographic. The April 7 event honored the television industry's outstanding social responsibility initiatives, for which 21st Century Fox brands received seven nominations.
