Here is a selection of concept art from “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” (2011), which was produced and distributed by 20th Century Fox Film. 

Thirty years ago this month, “Raising Arizona” was released widely in U.S. theaters. This was Joel and Ethan Cohen’s second film, which they wrote and directed.

In honor of Pi Day, we look back at the film “Life of Pi” (2012) based on the novel by Yann Martel. This adventurous story created beautiful concept art, which was transformed onto the screen.

Wolverine’s claws are one of the most popular and recognizable props in the Fox Archives Collection. Although the full length of the claws measures 10.5 inches, they embody and represent the whole of the character.

A storyboard is a sequence of drawings representing the shots planned out by production, typically with some direction and dialogue, though it all depends on the film and the artist. We have a wonderful and wide variety of storyboards in our art department collection. Here is a selection of storyboards from different genres of 20th Century Fox films.

The Musée Miniature et Cinéma in Lyon, France has been featuring Wes Anderson films in an exhibition ending May 31. Currently on display has been “The Grand Budapest Hotel” (distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures in 2014) model from the film as well as “Fantastic Mr. Fox” (distributed and produced by 20th Century Fox in 2009) puppets. To celebrate the exhibition, below are some storyboards and concept art from “Fantastic Mr. Fox” pulled from the Fox Archives.
