Since the launch of its corporate sustainability program in 2007, 21st Century Fox has consistently made Earth Day a focal point of its yearly calendar, regularly extending its celebration into a full month of activities engaging colleagues around the world.

FOX’s blockbuster television drama “Empire” certainly has eye-popping numbers to boast about: a total multiplatform audience of 23 million, a more than 20 percent lead over the second most popular broadcast show and 39 nominations for a variety of prestigious awards, for example. But stopping at the show’s numbers and rankings is missing the larger story.

At the Second Annual Social Good Awards Breakfast in New York City, Cynopsis Media recognized FOX Sports Supports as this year's "Social Good Shining Star," while awarding several honorable mentions to programming at National Geographic. The April 7 event honored the television industry's outstanding social responsibility initiatives, for which 21st Century Fox brands received seven nominations.

What’s better than three “Avatar” sequels? Four of them. At the end of 20th Century Fox Film’s CinemaCon presentation today, filmmaker and driving force behind the first “Avatar” film James Cameron made a surprise appearance and announced that there will be four sequels to the highest-grossing film of all time, one more than previously announced. The sequels are scheduled to hit theaters Christmas 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2023.

The hit series has also amassed 143.9 million hours of time spent viewing, or 8.63 billion minutes, so far. That's the equivalent of 259 billion "views."

The Webby People’s Voice Awards sets out to honor “excellence on the Internet” each year, so it’s no surprise that National Geographic has notched 14 nominations, the second most of any organization in 2016.
