National Geographic will kick off its first ever Earth Week on Sunday, Oct. 30, launching six straight days of primetime programming focused on climate change.

In the weeks leading up to the global premiere of National Geographic’s six-part series “MARS” on Monday, Nov. 14, 21st Century Fox and National Geographic took 200 high-school students attending The Cinema School (TCS) in Bronx, N.Y., on a field trip to an immersive Mars experience featuring a virtual reality simulator and an anti-gravity treadmill this week.

In honor of the upcoming worldwide commercial-free broadcast of “Before the Flood,” the new documentary from Academy Award winners Leonardo DiCaprio and Fisher Stevens exploring the global effects of climate change, 21st Century Fox and National Geographic have launched a new social media campaign to drive support for the conservation of endangered wildlife and ecosystems.

National Geographic is set to launch a rebrand as expansive as the view from the top of One World Trade Center, where the company announced its plans Tuesday afternoon. The rebrand will reach all of the company’s properties, in addition to its nonprofit organization, National Geographic Society. The 700 million consumers that National Geographic reaches each month will notice a unified brand logo and tagline across its vast portfolio.

National Geographic Channel hosted a very special screening of "Before the Flood"from Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Fisher Stevens and Academy Award-winning actor, and environmental activist Leonardo DiCaprio. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and actor Mark Ruffalo were among those attending the screening and party co-hosted by Courteney Monroe, Chief Executive Officer of National Geographic Global Networks, at the United Nations on Thursday night.

I love behind-the-scenes photography. The Fox Archives has gorgeous portraits, scene stills and Fox lot photography, but the photographs that depict what happens off camera are my personal favorite.
