In memory of Gene Wilder, known for making us laugh, I'm sharing a few of my favorite photographs of him breaking character and having a few laughs of his own on the set of “Young Frankenstein,” distributed by 20th Century Fox Film in 1974.

In its ongoing endeavor to develop directors with diverse voices, backgrounds, life experiences and perspectives, Fox Audience Strategy has begun it second annual Fox Global Directors Initiative (FDI). The directors who have been named Fox Director Fellows will participate in comedy or drama apprenticeship programs and be pitched for directorial opportunities across Fox entertainment programs.

Building 86 on the Fox lot

When the permanent buildings on the Twentieth Century Fox lot were constructed in 1928, the bungalows and the dressing-room buildings were all located on the southeast corner of the lot close to the Tennessee Gate, which served as the main entrance to the studio. Those continued to be used, but the biggest stars were given suites in the brand new Building 86 located near the Commissary, which soon became known as the "Stars' Building."

Louisiana has been an important production hub for 21st Century Fox and the film and television industry as a whole, which is why the company saw an urgent need to respond to the damage and casualties caused by the unprecedented rains there last week. Today, 21CF is donating $100,000 to help the disaster relief efforts in the affected communities, where our production teams have lived and worked.

FOX and FX took the stage at the Summer 2016 Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour in Pasadena, California, on Aug. 8 and 9, respectively. FX led the TCA Awards with 3 Awards for “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” and 1 for “The Americans.” At the event, FOX shed light on the scheduling move for “Pitch." The highly anticipated MLB produced dramedy will move from Midseason to Fall, giving it the exposure of Empire and the World Series.
