The hit series has also amassed 143.9 million hours of time spent viewing, or 8.63 billion minutes, so far. That's the equivalent of 259 billion "views."

The Webby People’s Voice Awards sets out to honor “excellence on the Internet” each year, so it’s no surprise that National Geographic has notched 14 nominations, the second most of any organization in 2016. I recently visited the Mumbai headquarters of our India business, STAR India, where I saw first-hand how its new STAR Sports brand has taken sports fans by storm. While STAR has for some time been India’s entertainment leader, it moved aggressively into the sports market following 21CF’s full acquisition of its pan-Asian sports joint venture, ESPN STAR Sports (ESS), in 2012.
